So What Even is an Event Nanny?

"So... what even is an event nanny?"
That's been a question I've been getting a lot recently, which is understandable because event nannies aren't exactly a common service... yet. 😉
To sum it up, an event nanny is someone you can hire to provide onsite childcare for any event, from weddings and corporate seminars to baby showers and everything in between.
But I know what you're thinking...
"Why would I need to do that when I can watch my own kid for free?"
It's a fair question.
But my question back is... are you actually watching them the way they need during an event?
That isn't meant to hate on parents. I know you're doing the best you can. But during events, the fact of the matter is, you can't always give your kids the attention they deserve.
You're getting pulled in a million different directions, and to be honest, you probably want to enjoy yourself a little without worrying about what your child is trying to put in their mouth.
Even if you have help at the event (usually Grandma), it's taking away from her time in the moment as well.
We all know what Grandma is going to say...
"Go have fun. I've got them."
And she genuinely means it.
But what if you could have both?
Time with your kids and the freedom to pass them off when you need to.
That's where the event nanny comes in.
I'll be there as the middle man—or woman, in this case.
My job is to be your second set of hands so nothing slips through the cracks with the kids.
You want me there early while everyone is getting ready?
Great! What time?
You're tired of dancing with the kids?
Awesome. I can shake it all night!
The kids are getting fussy?
Instead of calling it a night, I can take them for a walk, read a book, or put them down for a nap.
We're not there to replace you, we’re there to support you.
Your children are still your children.
They can come to you whenever they need a hug, want to show you something exciting, or simply want Mom or Dad.
We're simply there so you don't have to choose between making memories with your family and enjoying the event.
Even at larger events with multiple children, I'll set up a dedicated kids' area where you can drop them off and pick them up as often as you'd like.
My team and I are ready for whatever your little wranglers need.
At this point you're probably thinking...
"Okay... this sounds great for just weddings."
Wrong.
An event nanny is exactly that, an event nanny!
Any event.
Think about a corporate conference.
Now think about all of the parents missing out on networking, team building, and learning opportunities because they couldn't find childcare.
Now imagine a team of event nannies onsite.
Suddenly there's a dedicated childcare space where the kids are being taken care of while parents are free to fully participate.
Even better?
The kids are right there nearby, so if you have a free moment, you can stop by for a hug or check in whenever you'd like.
I'm not saying all of this just to hype up my business...
(Okay... maybe a little. 😂)
But honestly, I saw a real need for this service while working as a nanny.
There have been plenty of times I've been asked to stay late or come in on my day off so parents could attend an event without worrying about their children, or even attend the event with them.
Those families were lucky.
They already knew me.
They already had a Kristin on standby.
Most families don't.
